Makita’s new XFD01WSP18V compact drill/driver set is affordable at just. It delivers up to 480 in.lbs of maximum torque (290 in.lbs PTI torque), and is only 7-9/41cm long. It weighs in at just 15 kg.
This drill is fast enough to perform most driving and drilling tasks. It has a 0-400 or 0-1500 RPM 2-speed transmission.
This kit is a great way to get started with Makita’s 18V line of tools. However, it comes with a small battery that will not work with Makita’s heavier 18V tools.
If I did not think this deal was worth mentioning, I would not mention it.
If I was forced to spend money on a cordless drill I would go for Boschs DDS181/L-Boxx combo kit. I prefer Makita tools to Bosch tools, and I love their L-Boxx storage products.
